ABSTRACT
In the last few years, the use of the LEGO Bricks system into the educational institutions and the engineering education has produced good results. A lot of teachers have tried to it in the educational institution. LEGO Bricks system is very useful for students to learn not only engineering but mental growth. In particular, microcomputer control can be learned easily, and wider study and advanced study became possible in the field of the engineering education. However, to use it, some problems are thought. It is accuracy and a rapidity of response. Accuracy and response of sensors and motors are important factors to build machines. This paper explains the fundamental MINDSTORMS NXT that is one of the LEGO Bricks system, measures the accuracy and response time of the sensor, and also introduces an example using LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT in a simulation for research and development.
Keywords: LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT, Simulation, Rapidity of response, Sensors.
