Comparing of PSO, AFSA and Hybrid PSO_AFSA Methods for Optimization of Fuzzy Logic Controller of Dc Motor

ABSTRACT

In this paper two Fuzzy controllers, a current controller and a speed controller, for controlling the speed of a DC motor with consideration of an optimal current consumption in mind is designed. First, we initialized controller parameters such as MFs shapes, and later these parameters optimized using three new algorithms including Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Artificial Fish Swarm Algorithm (AFSA) and PSO-AFSA hybrid method .Comparison between the results show that the PSO-AFSA method is good for optimization. All of the simulations have done with MATLAB.
