ABSTRACT

Steer-by-Wire system is a one of the technology of vehicle that have been a focus of constant attention. But steer-by-Wire system has various problem. For example, drivers can’t feel the reaction force from road way because there is no mechanical connection but electrical connection between the hand wheel and the road wheel. In this paper, the drive assist control by reaction torque and road condition for Steer-by-Wire system is proposed. Experiments are carried out to show the validity of the proposed strategies.

Keywords: Electric vehicle, Steer-by-wire system, Impedance control, Reaction torque observer, Driving force observer.
