Description
The International Symposium on Reliability Engineering and Risk Management (ISRERM) was jointly established by Professor Jie Li and Professor Yan-Gang Zhao with support from Professor Alfredo Ang in 2008 to promote scientific development and innovative application of reliability-based, risk-based, or other uncertainty-informed decision making to address all safety related aspects in the management of engineering systems over their design life. The symposium has since been held in Tongji University, Shanghai, China (2008, 2010), Kanagawa University, Yokohama, Japan (2012), National Taiwan University of Science & Technology, Taipei, Taiwan (2014), and Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea (2016).
The 6th International Symposium on Reliability Engineering and Risk Management (6ISRERM) was held at the National University of Singapore (NUS) between 31 May and 1 June 2018. It is organized by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, NUS, and supported by the ASCE Infrastructure Resilience Division, the Geotechnical Safety Network (GEOSNet), the Institute for Risk and Reliability, Leibniz Universitãt Hannover, the International Association for Bridge Maintenance and Safety (IABMAS), the International Association for Life-Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE), the International Association for Structural Safety and Reliability (IASSAR), the International Civil Engineering Risk and Reliability Association (CERRA), the Joint Committee on Structural Safety (JCSS), and TC304 (Engineering Practice of Risk Assessment and Management), International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE).
