ABSTRACT
Requirements engineering plays a vital role in the development of the software. The quality of the software being developed depends on both functional as well as non functional requirements. But conflicts between non functional requirements are not yet resolved properly in grid environment. In the proposed system the non functional requirements for grid users are identified with a set of goal based questionnaires. This approach makes use of the questionnaires to find out the behavior of the system and possible constraints for grid user of the system. The proposed system is supported with
nonfunctional requirement taxonomy. User preferences are used to analyze the conflicts, which is resolved based on trade off analysis by prioritizing the preference. The prioritization depends on the dominating non functional requirements from the inference engine.
