The modern idea of a “Supply Chain” is fairly recent and probably dates back no later than 1950’s to the pioneering research performed by Jay Forrester and his team at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Keywords: Supply chain management, Supply chain IT, Information visibility, Event management.
