ABSTRACT

Weak passwords are one of the serious problems for system securities. So, in this paper I will discuss password vulnerabilities and threats in universities of India. In most of the Indian universities, the employees are not aware about the good password management system. Due to this problem, the university systems are to be hacked or tempered easily. Here, I mentioned, “What are the current scenarios of university password policy”. The result of the survey that examines user practices in creating and using passwords are reported. At last, I also given password policies and recommendations to improve the current practices.
