ABSTRACT
The DAS (Dissipation Array System) significantly reduces the risk of lightning termination to a protected facility. By preventing a direct strike termination on the protection facility, the DAS is also reducing the secondary effects of lightning which causes most of the lightning related problems across industries such as Train Control Facilities Telecommunication, Military Operations, Oil & Gas Facilities, Manufacturing and IT Facilities. Hitachi Plant Technologies (HPT) has provided the DAS for Japanese railway companies to protect their valuable/ important facilities (train operation and signal control building).
