ABSTRACT

This paper gives an account of the key considerations and requirements in the design interface and co-ordination process for the production of Combined Service Drawings (CSD) and Structural Electrical and Mechanical Draw-ings (SEM). The strategic planning of the plant rooms’ and ventilation shafts’ locations was pivotal in minimizing the services congestion. Lead and control of the information exchange with the interfacing parties was critical for the smooth progress of the CSD and SEM drawings production. There was also great emphasis on the CSD/SEM drawing standards. The high quality CSD/SEM drawings produced has facilitated review of drawings, and would allow smooth progress during construction stage and services installation on site.

Keywords: Combined service drawings, Station and Tunnel.
