ABSTRACT
This paper is meant primarily for those who are active in construction (Clients, Contractors, Consulting Engineers, Construction Firms), more specifically in the field of underground structures constructed by mechanical excavation using tunnel boring machines.
Its aim is to familiarize the reader with the behaviour of steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC), and to draw his attention to the specificities of this product when applied to lining rings in precast segments to provide durability and allow design for 100 years service life.
