Biography
Vladimir Mironov, Chief Scientific Officer of 3D Bioprinting Solutions, Moscow, Russia and Visiting Professor at Renato Archer Center for Information Technology, Campinas, Brazil.
Vladimir Mironov got his MD and PhD in Russia. He was trained in Max Planck Institute in Munchen, Germany. Dr. Mironov was a Director of NSF funded Advanced Tissue Biofabrication Center at The Medical University of South Carolina , Charleston, USA. He is one of pioneer of 3D bioprinting and inventor of concept of organ printing – a computer-aided layer by layer additive biofabrication of functional 3D tissue and organ constructs using self-asembling tissue spheroids as building blocks or bioink. Mironov is a founding member of International Society for Biofabrication. He was a finalist of World Technology Award in 2004. Dr. Mironov is a Visiting Professor at Renato Archer Institute of Information Technology, Campinas, Brazil. He was a co-founder of bioprinting company Cuspis LLC, Carleston, SC, USA. From 2013 he is a Chief Scientific Officer of Russian start-up company 3D Bioprinting Solutions, Moscow, Russia.
