ABSTRACT

The objective of this work is to carry out the CFD analysis on the model, incorporating air ejector system, ram air inlet and outlet ducts along with the compact heat exchanger for estimation of the quantity of the cold air passing through the heat exchanger.

CFD methodology for solving the above problem is already validated with in-house experimental set up established at National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) Bangalore for multi-nozzle air ejector system. In addition, based on the CFD results, the performance of the compact heat exchanger is evaluated using the carpet curve. From the effectiveness of the heat exchanger, the corresponding hot air outlet temperatures are computed.
