ABSTRACT
Simulation of any mathematical equation requires the knowledge of input parameters and for solving a heat transfer problem, the information on thermo physical properties is very critical. This paper reports the simultaneous estimation of emissivity and the constants in a Nusselt number correlation for convection. Bayesian inference is applied to retrieve the parameters. Transient cooling experiments were conducted for an isothermal plate for different initial temperatures and with the help of the Bayesian approach, the unknown parameters are retrieved.
