ABSTRACT

In the present work, three types of solar air heaters with single pass of forced air flow are numerically studied. Even though some authors have previously studied these types of solar air heaters, the effect of the heat capacity of the collector was not properly considered. Further the transient effect of these collectors are mathematically modeled considering the effect of heat capacity of the components and the output of the collector as well as the response of the different components of the collector with respect to time for sample months are plotted.
