Welcome Message
On behalf of the Ergonomics Society of Singapore (ERGOSS), we welcome you to Singapore to be part of an event that brings together Human Factors and Ergonomics (HFE) experts all over the world. The third SEANES conference is a momentous event for the HFE societies in South East Asia. This is the first time that the conference is held in Singapore, and it is our great pleasure to be able to host HFE experts from all over the world.
The theme for the conference is “ABC of HFE from Awareness, Behaviour to Cooperation”. We hope that the activities that we’ve put together raise the Awareness of HFE in the region. Through this conference, we aim to promote the understanding of HFE as a multi-disciplinary field which incorporates psychology, physiology, engineering, biomechanics, industrial and information design.
With awareness, we would experience how HFE results in Behavioural changes that start with a little mindfulness in what we do. We wish to promote and publicize the value of incorporating HFE as a strategy for organizational effectiveness and efficiency. This, in turn, increases performance through the design of products, systems, and processes that better support human capabilities and limitations.
As a platform to exchange ideas, knowledge and experiences, we encourage Cooperation between researchers, academics, and practitioners from industry. We trust that you will find fellow enthusiasts and dedicated experts from amongst the diverse HFE community present.
We wish you an enjoyable and fruitful ABC of HFE.
