Chairman, Technical Committee of “OSV Singapore 2013”
It is a great pleasure on my part as well as on behalf of the Technical Committee of this 5th International Conference on Technology and Operation of Offshore Support Vessels. It all started in 2005 before which, there was no dedicated OSV conferences. So, I am proud to say that Singapore is the birthplace of OSV conferences. Since then such OSV conferences are held each year in many places like Malaysia, China, Middle East, Amsterdam, USA, Brazil and Oslo. Further, this is the only OSV Conference, which produces a complete conference proceeding with full technical papers, which is a valuable collection for reference materials for readers, researchers and others.
The Technical Committee wishes to express sincere gratitude to all authors and speakers for their contribution in preparing and submitting excellent technical papers for all these years.We are indeed very grateful.In this opportunity, I would like to mention two names, who have continuously supported OSV Singapore Conference by writing excellent technical papers for all these five conferences since its inception, They are Mr BH Wong of Ezra Holdings and Dr Alf-Kare Adnanes of ABB. Special thanks go to Keppel Singmarine and ABB for their continuous sponsorship for this OSV Conference for the last five consecutive conferences.
Finally, I would like to thank all the members of the Technical Committee and also the Organizing Committee whose combined efforts brought together the OSV Singapore 2013 Conference programme a rich one.
