ABSTRACT
In this work, the compressive mechanical behavior of a kind of aluminum alloy was experimentally investigated over a wide temperature and strain rate range. The coupling effects of temperature and strain rate were analyzed quantitatively. The results show that the flow stress depends on both strain rate and temperature. The temperature sensitivity of aluminum alloy increases remarkably with experimental temperature. However, the strain rate sensitivity of the material varies slightly with applied strain rate. Based on experimental results, the parameters of Johnson-Cook constitutive model were also fitted.
