A Framework for Network Service Analysis based on Multi-dimensional Situation Aggregation

ABSTRACT
With the explosive growth of network applications, the services carried by network traffic become more and more complex. The rise of network architectures such as encrypted traffic and P2P networks poses serious challenges to traditional network traffic measurement and analysis techniques. To address these issues, a new framework must be used to assist in processing, analyzing, and integrating multidimensional situational characteristics for comprehensive and efficient network business analysis. In this paper, we propose a universal framework for network service analysis based on multi-dimensional situation aggregation, which describes the scale of micro, meso and macro network traffic situation according to the breadth and granularity of traffic detection information in space, time and semantic dimensions. According to the categories, characteristics and applicability of the network traffic situation scale aggregation method, the network services are effectively analyzed.
