ABSTRACT
With the deepening and expansion of reform and opening up, China has increasingly entered the center of the world stage. The international public opinion arena and the domestic public opinion arena have become the main sources of online public opinion. They intertwine and influence each other, making the originally relatively simple campus online public opinion more complex and tumultuous. Therefore, considering teaching reform and keeping up with the times in ideological and political education in universities from the perspective of online public opinion has significant practical and theoretical value and is an important issue faced by educators in higher education institutions. This article focuses on studying the significant practical and theoretical value of online public opinion for ideological and political education in universities. Based on this, it then explores innovative paths for teaching ideological and political education in the Internet era.
