Research Hotspots in Conflict Risks Between Tourism Development and Environmental Protection in Foreign Research

ABSTRACT
The conflict between tourism development and environmental protection has attracted the attention of numerous scholars. This study focuses on overseas literature, and applies CiteSpace software based on the Web of Science core collection database for analysis. We derived the following results. 1) The overall trend of publication on the topic has increased from 2000 to 2022. 2) The current foreign literature has a strong interdisciplinary nature and involves a wide range of disciplines, but more high-level articles are needed. 3) Most researchers are conducting independent research and have not yet formed close cooperative relationships. There is less close cooperation between research institutions, which cannot benefit in promoting the diversified development of research methods and perspectives. 4) The current research hotspots in the foreign literature mainly focuses on sustainable development, ecological diversity protection, tourism management, and influencing factors.
