ABSTRACT

The paper presents a methodology for testing the operating process in terms of readiness on the example of military vehicles. The Military Economic Unit (WOG) - one of the newly formed, stationary logistics units in the Polish Army - was analysed. The Markov processes were used for this purpose. A five-state model was determined and the research conducted during the discrete and continuous times. Limit probabilities were also calculated for the chain, as well as the Markov process. To end with, after solving the Chapman - Kolmogorov - Smoluchowski equations, - the characteristic times of an object tending to the stationary state after a given set of initial states were determined, which enabled long-term forecast of a studied system’s evolution.
