<title>ABSTRACT</title>
<p>This paper presents initial results from an ongoing project named &#8220;Risk management in BIM-driven public transport projects&#8221; (RiskBIM) led by Bane NOR. Bane NOR is the government agency that owns, operates and develops the Norwegian railway infrastructure. The main objective of RiskBIM is to utilize the possibilities of BIM tools in risk management of transportation infrastructure projects. While BIM is now at the core of all major construction projects, the risk management process is struggling behind. This doesn&#8217;t mean that nothing has been done, but we are far from exploiting the possibilities provided by BIM tools to make risk management more effective and efficient.</p>
