<title>ABSTRACT</title>
<p>Engineered grinding wheel is a recent innovation towards consistent and exceptional performance in grinding operations. Functional textured grinding wheel could reduce not only the burr dimensions but also the grinding forces significantly (18.1%-74.6%). The functional texture also is capable of breaking through the hydrodynamic pressure in the grinding contact area so that more coolant could be injected into the contact zone and helps to produce a smoother ground surface. Current experimental investigations of Inconel honeycomb structure workpiece were carried out with conventional and functional textured grinding wheels. Grinding force and burrs were measured and compared based on these experiments. </p><p>Keywords: Intermittent grinding, Grinding force, Burrs, Functional textured wheel. </p>
