<title>ABSTRACT</title>
<p>This paper models the coupled torsional-axial dynamics of the micro drill due to pre twisted flute geometry. 2-D finite element method is used to obtain the warping constants considering the actual geometry of drill cross section. Natural frequencies and frequency response function of torsional-axial coupled vibration is obtained for the flute section of micro drill. The results are compared with the simulations from commercial FE software. </p><p>Keywords: Micro Drill, Coupled torsional-axial dynamics, Pre twisted flute geometry, 2-D finite element method. </p>
