ABSTRACT

In this work the design of a bio inspired amphibious Turtle like robot is made to autonomously track oil spills that can move upwards, downwards, straight, backwards and also performs turning motion while swimming. The robot is also capable of moving straight, backwards and turning at prescribed angle crawling on the land. Energy efficient methods for controlling motion both underwater and on land are presented by developing the dynamic equation of motion and performing simulation. Keywords: Bio-inspired, Dynamic analysis, Oil spills, Manipulator.
