ABSTRACT

The focus of this work is to present a mesh free reproducing kernel particle method for analysis of functionally graded plates. The plate is modeled by a third-order shear deformation theory. The plate material is made of two isotropic constituents with their volume fractions varying only in the thickness direction. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the efficiency in use of mesh free methods for the analysis of functionally graded plates. Keywords: Mesh free reproducing Kernel particle method, Functionally graded plates.
