ABSTRACT

This paper presents the comparative study on the behavior of two different repeated mistuned structures. The first one is chained structure which is simplified and modeled as chain of pendulums coupled by springs with extreme springs fixed. Second one is cyclic structure in which spring of last pendulum is connected to the first pendulum. The analytical model is presented for generalized n pendulum system. Mistuning is achieved by changing length of pendulums and changing the stiffness of spring.
