ABSTRACT

Development of missiles for offensive capabilities may be the prime objective but defeating the enemy missiles is also becoming important due to proliferation of various missile systems. Indigenous missiles need to be tested for their efficacy in this defensive operation requiring the design of Aerial Targets. Current study aims at aerodynamic design of Aerial Target (AT) and estimation of its trajectory in free flight. CFD based study has been used to study the base configuration and 6DOF code is used for the estimation of trajectory. Control capabilities of AT need to be incorporated in the future study.
