ABSTRACT

Compressive strength of concrete made with nano additions are affected by many parameters such as size of the nano particle, percentage replacement/addition of nano materials, water to binder ratio (w/b), curing time and type, method of mixing etc. Out of all these parameters, the most affecting are w/b ratio and dosage of nano additions (D). In this study, an attempt has been made to develop a mathematical model through multiple linear regression which can estimate the compressive strength of nanosilica incorporated concrete as a function of w/b and D. Data obtained from the reported studies are considered in the development of the model and further the proposed model is validated using another set of data from the literature which is not accounted for in the development of the model. It is found that the proposed model can predict the combined effect of water to binder ratio and dosage on the compressive strength of nano modified concrete with good accuracy.
