<title>ABSTRACT</title>
<p>Concentric cylinder type neutron detector along with its supporting assembly of PFBR is analyzed. These detectors are designed for operating temperature of 575<font face="symbol">&#176;</font>C and are required to be functional during the specified seismic event. The work presented here is about seismic analysis of a concentric cylinder type neutron detector along with its supporting assembly called handling cum shielding assembly. Both Operation Basis Earthquake (OBE) and Safe Shutdown Earthquake (SSE) cases are considered. Acceleration vs. frequency data as seismic input was applied at the deck plate of PFBR from where the detector and handling cum shielding assembly are suspended. Response spectrum method was used for analysis. The results indicated that the detector along with the handling cum shielding assembly can safely sustain the specified seismic load. </p>
