Abstract
Micro parts are handled in linked parts for simplified processing in multi-stage production. A classification is made on base of the flux of force. The latter type linked parts reduce force load on the parts by using a frame structure. In the line type linked parts in contrast the parts are directly linked. The special variant of the line type linked parts considered in this work consists of spherical parts, which are linked by the wire they are made of. Hence, the diameter of the linked parts varies along its length. Nevertheless, the linked parts must be accurately guided. The guides must adapt both to the part diameter and to the interconnecting wire diameter. Two alternative variants of adaptive guides are presented and investigated. Focus is given to the aspects of radial deviation while feeding, influence on the feed force as well as vibration isolation and damping behavior.
