This paper proposes a conceptual framework to assist game designer to design games based on the roles of emotion and perception in the game design process primarily in pre-production stage. By giving that emotion and perception are biological processes of human beings, players are prone to digital games which accomplish their pleasure and enjoyment experience. In games for instance, players’ are mostly dominated by perception through their behavior response and it drives by emotions such as fun. A conceptual framework contains the integration of learning domain and emotional design concept which complement the player-centric game design approach in order to produce desirable digital games.
