ABSTRACT

In this paper different strategies for drift limitation of moment resisting frames – concentrically braced frames (MRF-CBF) dual systems designed according to a new methodology aimed at the failure mode control are identified and compared. In particular, systems having different number of storeys have been dimensioned and non linear static analyses have also been carried out and a comparison in term of cost-effectiveness is presented.
