ABSTRACT

The Aluminium structures are becoming popular in large-span structures because lightweight and anticorrosion etc. Based on the background, the tensile tests and dynamic tests of domestic 6061-T6 series Aluminium Alloy under high temperatures were performed. Firstly, tensile test are carried out on 6061-T6 series Aluminium alloy, which is the most widely used material in buildings structures. The yield strength, ultimate strength and elongation are obtained. Then the dynamic method was employed to test the young’s modulus of Aluminium Alloy at elevated temperatures. Compared with existing test data, it is found that the experimental data obtained by dynamic method could meet the requirements with high precision. The comparison between test data and value recommended ECCS is presented.
