ABSTRACT

The techniques of annular high-performance prestressed concrete are always applied in pipeshape concrete structures subjected to inner or outer pressure. Three kinds of tensile-anchorage bearing modes of annular prestressing strands are described in this paper, which are the modes of buttress concrete, block-out concrete and annular anchorage in block-out respectively. The effects of the bearing modes on the local behaviors of anchoring range of pipe-shape concrete structures are discussed, the basic design principles of these bearingmodes are summarized, the methods for determining their structural dimensions are proposed. Meanwhile, the reinforcement details of these modes are also introduced.

Keywords: Annular high-performance prestressed concrete, Tensile-anchorage bearing mode, Design principle, Reinforcement detail, Buttress, Block-out.
