ABSTRACT

Gas dynamics, radiative heat transfer and chemical kinetic problems associated with the dynamics of large-scale radiating fireballs (FB), formed as a result of rocket explosion at launcher or in flight as well as major accidents at chemical plants, are formulated and analysed. Numerical simulation models being analysed include models of gas dynamics of chemically reacting gas clouds and spectral radiative heat transfer. Special attention is given to the problem of radiation gas dynamic interaction in large-scale hydrogenoxygen fireballs.
