ABSTRACT

Attempt has been taken to determine the optimal performance and optimal cycle time of three-bed mass recovery with heating/cooling adsorption cooling system. A computer simulation program has been developed to precisely analyze the effect of cycle time on the performance of the three-bed adsorption system. Optimal performance results found by the contour plot of performance relating to cycle time are compared with the performance of the conventional two-bed adsorption cooling system. The proposed system provides higher specific cooling capacity (SCC) and similar coefficient of performance (COP) as compared to the two-bed adsorption cooling system.
