ABSTRACT

Mobile Agent technology is one of considerable active research. Various classes of agents such as intelligent agents, mobile agents have emerged so far. Mobile agents can physically travel across a network, and perform tasks on machines that provide agent hosting capability. This allows processes to migrate from computer to computer, for processes to split into multiple instances that execute on different machines, and to return to their point of origin. The scope of this paper is limited to mobile agents, which constitute the overview of mobile agent. This paper summarizes the current state of the art. It focuses on introduction of mobile agent, working of mobile agent in mobile computing, its architecture and working current and new approach. After that we have discussed some advantages of the technology and finally the conclusion provides the importance of this emerging technology and attempts to give a brief look the future of mobile agent. These aspects can be helpful for the further development of mobile agent technology in various applications.
