ABSTRACT
In the world of information security, secret sharing plays important role. The scheme stated here allows sharing a secret in terms of binary images. Secret information is divided into two parts called shares. Each part carries some information but that is unreadable by human visual system. Although some computations are applied to that share, the secret can not be revealed. One can successfully obtain secret information only when both shares are superimposed together. In our work, we implemented 2 out of 2 secret sharing schemes for binary images. The algorithm first generates random passwords as secret information and then encrypts using 2 out of 2 secret sharing schemes. This scheme is useful in many applications like in Remote Voting System for revealing voter password.
Keywords: Secret sharing, Visual cryptography, Random password.
