Cyber Threat: A Challenge to the Society and Network Security

ABSTRACT
We are living in the age of information technology or the cyber age. Naturally the Technology of stealing also has kept pace with the technology used in the society. It is therefore fitting and proper to focus on the issue of cyber frauds in this age of the knowledge economy. Frauds and thefts are always anti social. The first damage is that whereas in the paper based system the frauds could be limited only to a nation or a locality, the cyber age is also a global age. We all live today in a borderless World. In this situation, it is possible to commit fraud and other crimes from across borders. It is possible for the criminals to live in one country and commit fraud in another country because of the close integration of the networks. These issues can be resolved or can be reduced by network security.
