ABSTRACT
Most European CEE Education providers have been actively contributing to the development of a European Lifelong Learning Area. However, the time it takes from realizing the need for major shifts to getting them practiced on the ground is long. The author is the delegate of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in a project entitled ‘Shaping Inclusive and Responsive University Strategies’, to support universities in implementing the commitments made in the European Universities’ (EUA) Charter on Lifelong Learning. The paper gives details on how through this co-operation the Institutional Development plan for the BME can be enhanced.
Keywords: Lifelong learning, SWOT analysis, CPD.
