A method for determining the landscape changes was elaborated based on the concept of spatial-temporal analysis and synthesis of natural territorial complexes (NTCs). The object of the study is the entire territory of Georgia. For this purpose, the data of long-term field work observations on different landscapes of Georgia were used, as well as the statistical data and the long-term data of Georgia’s meteorological stations. The cartographic base of the work is the landscape map of Georgia. All these data was processed by means of GIS-technologies. Using various data, the degree of landscape changes was established, revealing certain specific features of the spatial distribution of landscapes. Particular attention was paid to revealing the annual dynamics of the NTC conditions, which allowed to determine long-term duration of humid, semi-humid, semi-arid and arid periods of the landscapes. Finally, the Geographical inventory of landscapes, GIS database and the map of Georgia’s landscape changes have been compiled.
