Profile
Dr. Sathya Prasad Mangalaramanan is a General Manager, Product Development in Ashok Leyland Limited. Currently he is heading an Advanced Engineering team dealing with Vehicle Systems and Materials. His past responsibility included building the CAE team for Ashok Leyland. Prior to Ashok Leyland, he was with Dana Corporation, USA as their Lead CAE Specialist. Prasad worked as a Design Engineer, Nuclear Engineering at Babcock & Wilcox Canada, prior to his stint at Dana Corporation. He completed his PhD from Memorial University, Canada and MS from University of Regina, Canada. Prasad has around thirty publications in leading conferences and journals, three patents and has delivered a number of technical lectures in various institutions. For a couple of years after graduation, Prasad was a marketing engineer with Larsen & Toubro. Prasad has received a number of awards including the Governor General of Canada's Academic Gold Medal for outstanding doctoral thesis.
