Ramanan a first generation entrepreneur, found RAISE Consultancy Services in June 2011, involved in Engineering & Management Consultancy and In-House corporate training & development. Within a year, RAIS Eearned the reputation of its Customers to carve out its space. Ramanan has an accomplished expertise & passion for highly safety critical Medical Devices like Cath Lab, MRI, CT, X-Ray etc.
Ramanan is a passionate Technologist, CAE & Predictive Design Expert and a Six Sigma Quality Champion. Ramanan was formerly Principal Engineer of GE Healthcare, earned the highest Technology award, with the title as GE India’s “Pillars of Pride”, portrayed in the Hall of Fame at GE’s Research Centre. This achievement of him is featured under news article titled as“ Brand Ambassador” in GE’s Intranet. He championed many Six Sigma Initiatives, Mentored projects in Global poles, represented GE in Global Forums like Indo-US Workshops and delivered Key Note Addresses.
He is an alumnus from IITM & BITS with an accomplished experience of 30years studded with patents & publications. Ramanan also serves as a Visiting faculty / Official Speaker in ASME /invited speaker in reputable Institutions / associations like IISc, IIT, Manipal University, Management Schools etc.., He is a member in many International Associations of repute like ASME, ASQ, ASM, PDMA, QCI,BMESI, IEI etc. He is an inspiring and motivational Speaker.
Ramanan lead Global Teams and is a SME in IEC60601-1, ISO 13485 &ISO 25539 standards. He has multi-product, cross functional experience &contributed to product developments like Locomotive, Rail Car, Automotive alternator, apart from Medical Devices. He loves customer interactions & specialised in converting VoC into NPI Ramanan is a strong believer & responsible for establishing many University-Industry interactions during his career. Abstract
Ramanan, shall trace the product design challenges in the tiniest piece of metal less than the thickness of human hair, called Stent, as it resides in the heart of the human to “Make a Difference” to his / her life. The speaker shall explain his development of passion to this wonderful medical product close to ‘his heart’, his significant technology contributions towards making the product ‘affordable’ to common man, while tracing trace from the origin and the Design and Development of Stent to its current day development. The speaker shall touch-upon current day Innovations and trends in advancement of the Stent Research. As “Heart Attack” is one of the significant cause of the worry across globe, the speaker shall identify opportunity areas for every contribution from every quarter in Stent Development in making a difference to common man.
