<title>ABSTRACT</title>
<p>The chronological age of 65 years is one of the most vulnerable to health problems due to the declining of organ function and structure as a result of the aging process. The changes can cause accidents for elderly while working or performing at certain work environment. This study is concerned on elderly activities at bathroom because bathroom is one of the most commonly used and has the risk of accidents. Method: Research was conducted by using participatory approach. All participants are involved in decision-making, problem-solving actions, evaluation, and concept development. Anthropometric measurement was also conducted with the populations of Javanese elderly. Results and Discussion: The process of design started with anthropometric measurement as the input, an evaluation of a set of scenarios and elder‘s preference observations. This is the preliminary study before testing the decided design concept using questionnaire which will help to decide the final design. </p><p> <i>Keywords: </i>Aging, Anthropometry, Bathroom for elderly, Participatory ergonomics. </p>
