ABSTRACT

PT. XYZ is a mosquito remedy production company that has lighting problem at its warehouse and formulation department. Actual iluminance of warehouse and formulation PT XYZ aren’t fulfill standard occupational health & safety International Labour Organization (ILO) so it cause visual symptoms. PT XYZ problem solved by engineering control using lighting analysis to increase iluminance by adding lamp. Method at this paper is iluminance and reflection measurement to calculated number of recommended lamp. Lighting simulation with software calculux 5.0 done to measure average iluminance of recommended lamp. Result of warehouse is average actual iluminance 34.3 lux, wall reflection 0.43, floor reflection 0.30, ceiling reflection 0.50, and 24 lamp. Result for formulation department is average actual iluminance 30 lux, wall reflection 0.43, floor reflection 0.30, ceiling reflection 0.50, and 12 lamp. Lighting simulation shows recommended lighting of warehouse and formulation PT. XYZ are fulfill standard occupational health & safety International Labour Organization (ILO) so it can reduce visual symptoms complaint.
