ABSTRACT
The Slim Floor system combines the advantages of flat slab construction with significant resistance to fire. The system comprises steel beams with a wider lower flange to support precast concrete elements or steel decking. The paper presents a numerical exploratory investigation to determine the fire resistance of Slim Floor systems using proprietary floor units, considering the composite steelconcrete action.
