The behaviour of recycled aggregate concrete-filled steel tube (RACFST) stub columns subjected to concentric compression was investigated experimentally, and a total of 10 specimens were tested. The tests were carried out on circular and square specimens with recycled aggregate replacement ratio varied from 0 to 100 %, and both recycled coarse aggregate and recycled fine aggregate were considered in the tests. The main objectives of the tests were threefold: first, to describe a series of tests on RACFST stub columns; second, to analyse the effects of cross-section type and recycled aggregate replacement ratio on the behaviour of composite stub columns; and finally, to evaluate the accuracy of the bearing capacity predictions by using the recommendations of ACI 318-05, AIJ, ANSI/AISC 360-05, DB21/T1746-2009 and EC4. The test results indicated that the RACFST stub columns under concentric compression could develop the stable load versus strain responses, and the compressive behaviour of RACFST stub columns were significantly affected by the recycled aggregate replacement ratio.
