Fireproof Performance Test Research on Building Made of Sandwich Panels of Steel Mesh Cement with EPS

ABSTRACT

To determine the fire performance of sandwich panels of steel mesh cement with EPS, tests of cone calorimeter, Brandschacht furnace and large fire simulation for a building have been carried out. The sandwich panel of steel mesh cement with EPS has cement mortar plaster thickness of 25mm. The combustion performance of sandwich panels of steel mesh cement with EPS confirms it as incombustible material. According to related regulations of fire resistance limit and combustion performance of residential building components in the “Residential Building Code” (GB50368-2005), the fireproof safety performance of sandwich panels of steel mesh cement with EPS is reliable. The building made of sandwich panels of steel mesh cement with EPS does not collapse after the fire test, and the overall performance is excellent. The test result shows the sandwich panel of steel mesh cement with EPS is a good structural component with good fire safety performance in practical engineering.
