ABSTRACT
Based on the research of the stress state in the whole construction process of tall steel structures, this paper
describes the monitoring and research on variation of actual stress state of key components in a tall steel
structure under construction. Comparison is carried out with numerical results of construction simulation
with consideration of temperature, welding stress, uneven settlement of basement and other factors.
Combined with several practical engineering structures, on-line monitoring equipment has been arranged
to monitor the impact of actual construction process on the structure. Rules are formulated after
comparing with the numerical results in order to provide a basis for the design, construction simulation
analysis and technique in construction process.
